Mom and Dad,

Some times it is hard to know how to start these letter. I try to think of all the different ways that i can start letters. so here i go

so this past week has been a very exciting one. there has been a lot going on in our area. we are starting to receive refferls from the reedvielle ward which is an answer to sister low's and my prayers. Tonight we will be teaching a young man that was referred to us. I can not want i love teaching youth. there is just something about the way they see the world and how the gospel can relate to them, that i just find amazing.
Tashae and Marshell got married on Saturday.
Angalina and her two youngest come to church. It was quite entertaining to have them there during fast and testimony Sunday, but at the same time man do i love those kids. So when i got up to bear my testimony Joel started to rap the fresh prince of Bel Air theme. I'm not sure if another missionary has had music when they walked up to the pulpit. But there is a first for everything. After i i finish my testiomony joel started to chant my name. GOETZ GOETZ GOETZ, thank goodness that my companion was there to calm the crowed.
We had a great lesson with Jennifer. She is just so very awesome. we talked about the plan of salvation. and its crazy to see how much she already understands about the gospel and i love to see the light bulb turn on in her head. Man the gospel is great.
This week has been really awesome. Sister Low and i had a great week. We had a lot of lessons. I sometimes think that we are more united and at other times i feel that we still have a long way to go. but i do not get up easy so I'm in here for the long hall. over all everything is going well.
I'm doing good. I really loved zone leader council this past week. and do i have a great story for you. So during lunch sister low and i we at a table with elders. there were two elders in front of me with me spaced in the middle of them. Sister low was telling a very funny story. and as everyone knows i laugh at everything anyways. well as she told more of the story i was eating the warm potato soup that was oh-so-nice! The next think i know soup i laughed so hard that i shot soup out of my mouth on both of the elders. yeah it was a little embarrassing. but really funny at the same time. Elder Matheu just cleaned off his arm and then looked at his food. "it doesn't look like you got any on my food" then he went back to eating. it was Rather entertaining.
So on Sunday night i finished the book of Mormon for the second time on my mission. It is always a bitter sweet feeling to know that you have completed such a sacred record. I love the Book of Mormon so very much it has given me so much peace and my relationship with my savior bruns deeper in my soul then i could ever imaggian. God is good.
during Zone leader Council and i was thinking allot about
alma 24: (18 And this they did, it being in their view a testimony to God, and also to men, that they never would use weapons again for the shedding of man’s blood; and this they did, vouching and covenanting with God, that rather than shed the blood of their brethren they would give up their own lives; and rather than take away from a brother they would give unto him; and rather than spend their days in idleness they would labor abundantly with their hands.
19 And thus we see that, when these Lamanites were brought to believe and to know the truth, they were firm, and would suffer even unto death rather than commit sin; and thus we see that they buried their weapons of peace, or they buried the weapons of war, for peace.) i really am starting to understand what my wepons are and how i can come to truly Alma 26:12 Now, my best beloved brethren, since God hath taken away our stains, and our swords have become bright, then let us stain our swords no more with the blood of our brethren.
13 Behold, I say unto you, Nay, let us retain our swords that they be not stained with the blood of our brethren; for perhaps, if we should stain our swords aagain they can no more be bwashed bright through the blood of the Son of our great God, which shall be shed for the atonement of our sins.
14 And the great God has had mercy on us, and made these things known unto us that we might not perish; yea, and he has made these things known unto us beforehand, because he loveth our asouls as well as he loveth our children; therefore, in his mercy he doth visit us by his angels, that the bplan of salvation might be made known unto us as well as unto future generations.
15 Oh, how merciful is our God! And now behold, since it has been as much as we could do to get our stains taken away from us, and our swords are made bright, let us ahide them away that they may be kept bright, as a testimony to our God at the last day, or at the day that we shall be brought to stand before him to be judged, that we have not stained our swords in the blood of our brethren since he imparted his word unto us and has made us bclean thereby.
16 And now, my brethren, if our brethren seek to destroy us, behold, we will hide away our swords, yea, even we will bury them deep in the earth, that they may be kept bright, as a testimony that we have never used them, at the last day; and if our brethren destroy us, behold, we shall ago to our God and shall be saved.
I want to be able to be like the Anti-Nephi-Lehies not matter what will happen. I really have a long way to go. but i know that all things are posible through christ.
I love you all
love sis. goetz
