Mom and Dad,
Greatings for the great land of west linn.
So this week has been both good and hard but first let me tell you about the people that we are teaching....
We are still teaching Larry and Rachel and their kids. They are such a great family and are doing great. we had two lessons with them last week. They had a baptism date for the 30th but we are going to have to move it because Larry and Rachel Still need to get married. we are planning on re-setting it for the 13th of February.
We have started teaching a 12 year old girl name Raschel. her parents and brothers are members and the family is just starting to come back into activity. they are a sweet familly.
We had a lesson with Marni, Devon, and Manuel this week and they its hard because they are all three at different levels. but the questions that they have a really good one.
this week we were out tracting and met a young man named John. we had a 45 minuet conversation and we talked about the apostasy and it was sweet... you can really tell that the lord has been preparing him for sometime.
Like i said this week was a little hard. we have been getting some anti-people. but don't worry our spirits are still strong. as a companionship we are doing good. sister cooper is really an awesome missionary. she is really amazing. I really do love being in a trio...im not sure if i'm going to know how to function with just haveing one companion some day.. Just joking.
so some funny things have happened this week
first the other night we were out tracting and being ever so obedient. as we headed to the car my mind started to day dream a little and then i reallized that my companions were about 30 feet in front of me. so i scurried to catch up to them and so come to the knowledge that a cop was driving by us. Being that it was at night we all had our black coats on. we like to call ourselves the sisters in black. the cop drove past that turned around. as the cop pulled up his window began to slow go down. and he said (direct quote) "Have you Ladies seen anyone ringing and knocking on peoples door" It was hard to hold the laughter in. indeed we had seen someone, actual i have seen three people knocking and ringing peoples door bells. We explained to the officer that we were missionaries and that we had been out inviting people to learn. thats when we got arrested... ok just kiding. the officer told us that someone had called 911 saying that there was someone out knocking and ringing their door bell and when they go to the door no one was there. I never thought that i would have the cops called on me on my mission it was way funny. we have been told that the west linn news paper will report on 911 calls and with all my heart i hope that we made the paper.
the second story took place on satuday morning. once again we were out tracting and we just had a man tell us that he really was not interested but he still was very nice. as we turned to walk off of his door step sister cooper falls and lands in a little garden area. both sister martin and i started to laugh. it was really funny. as sister cooper gets up she discover that she landed on a little side walk lamp and broke it. At first we tried to fix it but soon realized that we could not fix it... we knew that we need to re-knock on the door and explain what had happened. oh by the way sister cooper is just fine but does have a very nice bruise on her right leg. once we were able to compose ourselves we knocked on the door. this time it was the mans wife and we told her that we would pay for it and that we were so sorry.. thank goodness she was cool with it and said.. oh thats ok. my husband can fix it. ahhh happy ending.
I'm doing good. this week i have been doing a lot of thinking. i wish that i could say that i am perfect in every way but i cant. i have thought a lot about what elder Robins said about being 100% responsible and what i can do to be even better at it and im excited to see the growth that i have had over the last few month. i'm not going to lie this companionship is harder then the last but just as sister Dyches once told me i have to be my one leader and be responsible and that is what i'm doing. I'm ever so grateful for each day on my mission.

i love you guys so much
love Sister Goetz... AkA inmate number 2084508401
